EABCT Conference

Sabiha Jahan and Salah Lekkeh will present the qualitative data collected from multiple stakeholders (mental health practitioners, service users and managers in local and international organizations operating in Northwest Syria, Türkiye, and Bangladesh) to investigate the role of supervision in practice and identify potential barriers and facilitators to incorporate supervision into routine mental health practice.

Utilizing family skills resources to support families affected by Türkiye/Syria earthquake- English

We are delighted to present Dr. Aala El-Khani, who is a well-known humanitarian psychologist and works as a consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. She is also a Research Associate at the University of Manchester in the Division of Psychology and Mental Health. Aala is passionate about highlighting the significant role that caregivers play in protecting their children during crises. Aala researches and develops innovative ways to reach families that have experienced crisis, conflict, and displacement with parenting support and training. She is a developer of numerous family skills resources as well as a global trainer of family skills programmes and research methods, having conducted training in over 25 countries, including Uzbekistan, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Palestine. Her two TEDx talks have been viewed over 1.5 million times.
